Local 1601, Rumford's Professional Firefighters, thank all who contributed ham, turkey and money to our holidays drive to benefit local food pantries. Your generosity made it possible for the Union to give 64 hams and 45 turkeys to charity over Thanksgiving and Christmas. These went to St Johns, Praise Assembly, Green Church and Andover Food Pantries.
American Legion Post #24 Commander Kirk Thurston and Auxiliary President Trish Thurston receive donations for the Dirigo Boys and Girls State Program from IAFF Local 1601 Fire Fighter Bob Chase. The two $230.00 donations are from money collected during the Union’s Comedy Show Fundraiser.
